The Lineman's Rodeo is open to all electric cooperative linemen currently working for one of the 18 South Carolina based cooperatives that are members of The Electric Cooperatives of South Carolina, Inc. These linemen will demonstrate their trade skills in a fun and friendly atmosphere, seeking bragging rights amongst their peers at this competition.
Camp Cale Pig on the Perquimans
This exciting event brings together competitive BBQ teams, local businesses, families, and community supporters for a day of great food and fellowship—all in support of Camp Cale’s mission. We are especially proud to share that our Pig on the Perquimans hosts a sanctioned event of the Whole Hog BBQ Series, drawing teams and spectators from across the region as well as a Backyard BBQ cook-off drawing local support.

Over the years, this Classic has been key in raising scholarship funds for students attending Southside Virginia Community College. In 2017, the event was renamed the Freddie Reekes Memorial Scholarship Golf Classic in memory of Freddie. Freddie's career was spent helping and mentoring young people through his work at Brunswick High School and Southside Virginia Community College. The funds raised from this event allow us to continue Freddie's legacy.
